Robert F. “Bud” Seymour, 89, formerly of Morrisonville, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022 at the Clinton County Nursing Home with family by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh on October 18, 1932, the son of the late George and Rose (Bouyea) Seymour.
Robert served in the Army during the Korean Conflict and later was employed as a heavy equipment operator for Local 106 for many years until retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Morrisonville Fire Department for over 65 years and was a former Fire Commissioner. He was also a member of American Legion Post 1619, the VFW Post 125 and was a parishioner of St. Alexander’s Church.
He is survived by his children and their spouses; Mark and Cindy Seymour, Larrie Seymour, Lynne and Charles Norcross, four grandchildren; Erin (Christopher) Violette, Adam (Kaitlyn) Norcross, Melissa Seymour and Matthew Seymour, two great grandchildren; Amelia and Conor Norcross, a sister in law; Mary “Mitzy” Seymour, and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Phyllis (Davidson) Seymour in 1994. His siblings; Ella Mae Lucia, Valeda Wood, Dennis Seymour, Harold Seymour, Donald Seymour, Leonard Seymour and Lawrence Seymour also died earlier.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 11:00 am at St. Alexander’s Church in Morrisonville. Interment with military honors will be in the parish cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be offered to the Make A Wish Foundation.
