Robin J Patnode

Robin J. Patnode, 62, of West Chazy, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, May 6, 2022. She was born in Plattsburgh on May 18, 1959, the daughter of Francis and Nora (Canning) Patnode.

Robin is survived by her three daughters, Aubrey Frederick, of Saranac, NY, Nora and Sarah Rougier, of West Chazy, NY; her grandchildren, Shane Frederick, Azlynn Frederick, Jazlynne Rougier, Brock Harrington, Kenny and Skylar VanStockum; her sisters Sherry (Gerald) Varin and Mary Beth Gebo of Dannemora, NY; her brothers James Patnode of Dannemora, NY, Jerry Patnode of Shasta Lake City, CA and Patrick (Cindy) Patnode of Saratoga Springs, NY; and many nieces and nephews.

Robin was predeceased by her parents, stepmother, Arlene, granddaughter, Lyla Harrington, brother, Donald Patnode and brother-in-law, James Gebo.

Robin was loved by so many, she endlessly was there for everyone, cherished all in her life, and left a lasting impression as a mother, grandmother, sister, friend and aunt. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Robin.

A Clinton Community College graduate, with an associate degree in Applied Science, Robin became a Corrections Officer for over thirty years. Starting her career at Green Haven Correctional Facility, moving to Altona Correctional Facility, February 19, 1981, until her retirement in 2008. Robin’s retirement days were spent with family, friends, watching her grandchildren grow, her dogs and beautiful days at camp. She will always be remembered for her love and devotion to family.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 12, 2022, from 4:00-7:00pm at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be Friday, May 13, 2022, at 1:30pm at St. Bernard Cemetery, Lyon Mountain.
