Mr. Ronald F. "Ron" Bardon, 75, of North Catherine Street, Plattsburgh, NY passed away Sunday, April 5, 2015 at UVMHN-CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, NY with his family by his side. He was born in Chicopee, MA on August 23, 1939 the son of the late Frederick and Stephanie (Malikowski) Bardon. He moved from Chicopee, MA to Westport, NY in 1951 and graduated from Westport Central in 1957. Ron attended Albany Business College, graduating in 1958, moving on to Cobleskill ATI, graduating in 1960. He then went on to join the US Army, serving his time in Korea, Vietnam, and Thailand. After his military service, he went back to school at Albany State. He retired from the City of Plattsburgh Department of Finance after 30 years of dedicated service. Ron was a Life Member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elk's Plattsburgh Lodge #621, Knights of Columbus Council #255 of Plattsburgh, and the Plattsburgh Lions Club where he served as District Governor 1997 to 1998. He was a member of Wolf Pond Mt. and Camp Kettle- Hunting Clubs for 32 years, the Meigsville (Goff's) Hunting Club for 50 years and served on the Board of Directors of Plattsburgh Men's Bowling Association for many years. He was predeceased by his parents, Frederick and Stephanie Bardon, and a brother Daniel Bardon. Ron is survived by his wife of 48 years Leith (Dreibelbis) Bardon of Plattsburgh, his two daughters: Tammy Lynn Eggert and her husband Dennis of Webster, NY and Stacy Liberati and her husband Scott of Clifton Springs, NY, five grandchildren: Eric, Anna, Sam, Jake and Bella. Calling hours will be private and at the convenience of the family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, April 10, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Peter's Church. Interment will be at a later date at St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Plattsburgh Lions Club or the Wounded Warriors Project in care of Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, NY 12901.
