Altona Ronald A. Boulrice, 69, a resident of Clinton County Nursing Home for the past 7 years, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the UVM Health Network-CVPH with family by his side. Ron was born in Plattsburgh on January 3, 1948, the son of Oveldia and Marie Hattie (LaFave) Boulrice. He grew up in Altona and attended Altona Central School. He retired from Clinton County Government Center Buildings and Grounds Department after 23 ½ years. His favorite mode of transportation was riding his bicycle. He enjoyed attending auctions, flea markets and garage sales. He is survived by his mother, Marie Hattie Boulrice, who recently turned 103; his brothers Lawrence (Carol) Boulrice, and Daniel (Cheryl) Boulrice; a sister Betty (Ronald) Peryer; a sister in law Marie A. Boulrice; and many nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his father Oveldia and brother Vernon Boulrice. The family appreciated the good care Ronnie received at Clinton County Nursing Home. He enjoyed the good meals he received there and the employees who jokingly called him George and he responded by calling them George. Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 30, 2017 from 11:00am to 1:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 3123 Miner Farm Road in Altona. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Holy Angels Church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery at a later date.
