Ronald J "Ron" Miner

Ronald J. "Ron" Miner, 59, of Plattsburgh, passed away Friday, September 8, 2017 surrounded by his family and under the care of Hospice of the North Country. Ronald was born in Plattsburgh on December 5, 1957, the son of the late Clarence and Margaret (Trombley) Miner. Ron attended Beekmantown School and was a member of St. Peter's Church. Ron was an avid outdoorsman, spending time hunting, fishing, and camping in his free time. He was always keeping busy, woodworking, and was also known to fix anything. He worked as a property manager for Fessette Properties. His greatest love was spending time with his family, never missing his children or grandchildren's sporting events. He was predeceased by his parents, and his brother Clarence "Roger" Miner. Ron is survived by his children; Shannon Burnham and her husband Michael, Cindy Parker and her husband Michael, and Christina Bushey and her husband Joe. His grandchildren; Christopher and Jacob Miner, Sierra, Kiersten, Nicholas, and Tobias Parker, Connor and Tannor Bushey. Ron's companion Sandra Duell, and her children; Nicki Burnard and her companion West Suber Jr., Kimberly Belair and her husband Nathan, Melissa Rowe and her husband Chris. Sandra's grandchildren, Keegan, Haidyn, and Karter Suber, Alexander, Breanna, Hailee Burnard, Josh, Zack, Gavin Rowe. Ron's siblings; Donald Miner and his wife Janet, Carolyn Chauvin and her husband Bryan, Carl Miner and his wife Dawn, Mary Burke, Ricky Miner, Rodney Miner, Randy Miner and his wife Holly, Cathy Miner and her companion Mike Hartmann. His sister-in-law, Debbie Miner, and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Monday, September 11, 2017, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Graveside prayers will be at a later date at St. Peter's Cemetery.
