Rose M Nelson

Plattsburgh Rose M. Nelson, 67, of McGaulley Avenue, Plattsburgh, NY, passed away on Saturday June 22, 2013 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh after a courageous three year battle with cancer with her loving family by her side. She was born in Plattsburgh on April 1, 1946 the daughter of Amos and Florence (Monette) Trombley. Rose was raised in Ellenburg, NY, she lived and worked in various parts of the United States and Europe before moving back to Plattsburgh in 1999. She worked as a care giver for the elderly for many years in the Plattsburgh area. Rose greatest joy was spending time with her beloved grandchildren, son and daughter and family. She was predeceased by her father Amos Trombley, Sr., a daughter Wendy Nelson, a brother Amos, Jr., her sister Nancy McRoberts, her step father, Kenneth Waite, a brother-in-law Dale Fifield, and a nephew Artie Frennier. Rose is survived by two children; Tina Howard and her husband Timothy of Plattsburgh and Todd Nelson and his companion Christine Martineau of Peru, seven grandchildren; Dustin, Skyler and Logan Resendez, Coty and Colby Howard, Dakota and Matthew Nelson, her mother Florence Waite of Plattsburgh, her siblings and their spouses; Winifred (Arthur) Frennier, Rolland (Bonnie) Trombley, Alva (Richard) Benware, Leon (Janice) Trombley, Loren (Rose) Trombley, Leslie (Georgianna) Trombley, Mary Cordaro, Linda Fifield, Alan (Carol) Trombley and Angela (Dale) Nephew, several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive her and a special niece and nephew Holly and Stephen Garrow. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday June 25, 2013 from 10:00 to 12:00 at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 1:00 at St. Edmund's Church in Ellenburg, burial will be in the parish cemetery. Donations in Rose's memory may be made to the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center at CVPH Medical Center.
