Rosie R Bedard

West Chazy Mrs. Rosie R. Bedard, 81, of State Route 22 in West Chazy, passed away Monday, March 21, 2011 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Napierville, Quebec on July 21, 1929, the daughter of Romuald and Maria (Giroux) Vivier. Rosie enjoyed being with her family, cooking, reading and writing. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy. She is survived by her husband, Andrew Bedard, whom she married July 26, 1952 in St. Bernard de LaColle, Quebec, her five children; Marie (Rick) Turcotte of Mascoutah, Il., Linda ( Jon) Greenwood of Canton, N.Y., Michael (Barbara) Bedard of West Chazy, Clement Bedard of New Baden, Il., Carol Bedard of Chandler, Az., two sisters; Rita Senecal Vivier of St. Jean sur Richelieu, Quebec, Anita Vivier of Napierville, Quebec, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Aime Vivier. At Rosie's request, there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy with Msgr. Lawrence Deno officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center or the West Chazy Fire Department.
