Plattsburgh Mrs. Ruth M. Brown, 86, of the Bradford Road, Plattsburgh, New York passed away Sunday, October 18, 2009 at the CVPH Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born Plattsburgh, New York on December 6, 1922 the daughter of Ernest and Violet (Frenyea) Rock. Ruth enjoyed country music and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren. She was a member of St. Alexander's Church, Morrisonville. Ruth was predeceased by her parents, Ernest Rock and Violet Rock Goodman, her husband Harold Brown, two sons; Larry and Thomas Brown, two daughters; Sally Gonyea and Sue Ellen Brown; a special grandson Curtis Bell, two sisters; Anna Mae Amell, and Gladys McCasland. She is survived by her children, Deanna Bell and her husband Clifton of Plattsburgh, Robert Brown and his wife Elizabeth of Morrisonville, Carolyn Ostermann and her husband Roy of Ohio, Stephen Brown and his wife Judy of Dannemora, Bonnie Miller and her husband Ronald of West Chazy, a son-in-law Gerald Gonyea of Morrisonville, two sisters Shirley Darrah of Plattsburgh, Leona Suba of Florida, a brother Ernest Rock of Plattsburgh, 18 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Tuesday, October 20, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. Plattsburgh, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alexander's Church, Morrisonville. Interment will follow at St. Alexander's Cemetery.
