Ruth E Peryer (Bushey)

Ruth E. Peryer, 84, formerly of West Church St., West Chazy, NY passed away Friday, October 26, 2018 at the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, NY. She was born in Plattsburgh, NY on November 19, 1933 the daughter of Ernest T. and Catherine (Recore) Bushey. Ruth enjoyed cooking large family dinners, senior trips, camping and traveling to Florida with her husband Donald in their motor home. She was a member of the Busy B's and St. Joseph's Church, West Chazy. Ruth was predeceased by her parents, a son Randy Peryer, a sister Nila McCorkell, her brothers Thomas and Gaylord Bushey and a son-in-law Michael Higgins. She is survived by her husband Donald Peryer, whom she married August 17, 1953 at St. Joseph's Church West Chazy, two sons; Steven (Judy) Peryer of Champlain, Barry (Debbie) Peryer of North Bangor, a daughter Sharyl Higgins of Watertown, two sisters; Carol (Benjamin) Edwards of Beekmantown, Sandra Turner of Plattsburgh, a brother Melvin (Huguette) Bushey of Albany, NY, seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Chazy. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
