Ruth A Duffina

Mooers Mrs. Ruth A. Duffina, 84, of the LaValley Road, Mooers, New York passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at the home of her daughter Susan on Lake Street, Rouses Point, New York with her loving family by her side under the care of Hospice of the North Country. She was born in Mooers, New York on April 30, 1925 the daughter of Delbert and Lena Garrow. Ruth worked as a home health aide for many years and at the Senior Citizen food program and in the nurses office at Mooers Elementary School. Ruth was a loving homemaker for many years always putting her family first. Ruth was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Mooers. She was loved dearly and will be missed by all her family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Delbert and Lena Garrow, her husband Harry E. Duffina, who passed away January 8, 2007 and her daughter Judith in 1974. , four sisters and five brothers. Ruth is survived by two sons; Donald Duffina and his wife Beverly of Mooers, New York, Ernest Duffina and his wife Cathy of Tennessee, three daughters; Sandra Duffina and her companion Jean Romat of Mooers, New York, Susan Carr and her companion Robert McChesney of Rouses Point, New York, her sisters; Dorothy Rabideau, Harriett Veivia and Betty Robert, a half brother Wallace Duffina six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In accordance with Ruth's wishes, there will be no calling hours. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Mooers, New York, Friends wishing may make donations in her memory to Hospice of the North Country.
