Ruth A Holloman

Plattsburgh Ruth A. Holloman, 80, of Marie Drive, Plattsburgh, NY passed away on Monday, September 8, 2014 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Aulander, North Carolina on July 31, 1934, to the late Molly Jenkins and Lathan Wilkins. Ruth enjoyed spending time at home with her family and feline companions. She also enjoyed planting flowers, sowing, and word searches. Ruth also enjoyed spending time with friends and was also an avid bingo player. She was a kind hearted and giving person who made many monthly donations to various charities and organization. Ruth is also predeceased by her sister Gladys and her two brothers Cecil and Richard. She is survived by her husband James Holloman, her daughter and her husband; Lynette and William Oakes, three grandchildren; William, Alisha, and Anthony Oakes; her five sisters; Doris Flood of Charlotte, NC, Lila Jenkins of Aulander, NC, Alberta Stephens of Gaithersburg, MD, Elizabeth Smith of Philadelphia, Pa, and Estelle Landrum of Irvington, NJ. Donations in Ruth's honor can be made to the Adirondack Humane Society Calling hours will be held on Sunday September 14, 2014 from 1:30 to 3:30 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday September 15, 2014 at 10:00 am at the Bible Baptist Church, 4635 State Route 9, Plattsburgh, NY 12901.
