Plattsburgh Ruth A. Macey, 74, of Elizabeth Street in Plattsburgh, passed away peacefully at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh on Saturday, December 15, 2012 with her loving family by her side. She was born on January 21, 1938 in Schuyler Falls, the daughter of the late Erwin and Agnes (Dashnaw) Macey. Ruth was employed at Diamond International and later PACTIV for 52 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church and the V.F.W. Post 125 Ladies Auxillary. She enjoyed ice skating, four wheeling, snowmobiling, listening to country music, and swimming in her pool. She is survived by her children and their spouses; Tim Manion and companion Sharon Bushey of Plattsburgh, Tina Manion and companion Kathleen McGee of Dannemora, Kevin and Cathy Manion of Plattsburgh, Travis and Michelle Skelly of Plattsburgh, her siblings and their spouses; Valeda Praeger of Chesapeake, Va., Millie Stoughton of Saranac, Eva and Wayne Hodge of Peebles, Ohio, Yvonne and Carl Price of Columbus, Ohio, Bobby Macey of Plattsburgh, Dale Macey of Plattsburgh, Lee Macey of Saranac, Brian Macey of Saranac, Cheryl Campbell of Ellenburg Depot, two aunts; Marie Graham of Tupper Lake, Betty Wood of Riverview, an uncle; Larry Dashnaw of Riverview, her grandchildren; MacKenzie and Emily Manion, Jessica Provost and Jennifer DuBrey, Corey , Shane, Steven and Heather Manion, Luke, Jonah and Zoey, great grandchildren; Tiana, Dylan, Adrien, Macey, Adien, Madison, Avery, Julian, and Haileigh, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, two sisters; Phyllis Kobusinski and Virginia Russell, and two brothers; Dwayne and Eugene Macey. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Victory Church. Interment will be in St. Peter's cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be offered to the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center c/o CVPH Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street, Plattsburgh.
