Sandra L. “Sandy” Baker, 75, formerly of Peru St., Plattsburgh passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the Meadowbrook Health Care Facility with her loving family and friends by her side. She was born in Plattsburgh on December 30, 1943 the daughter of Harry and Eva (Golden) Bourdeau. She worked at Multina Corporation. Sandy enjoyed bowling, word puzzles, working out at the gym, movies, collecting nick nacks, sketching, reading, attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and spending time with her family and friends. Sandy was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church. She was predeceased by her parents, her sisters; Mary Beauharnois, Geraldine Borek, Muriel Duquette, Norma Jean Bousquet, Beulah Bird, Florestine and Kathleen who died in infancy and a brother Harry Bourdeau, Jr. who was killed in action during the Korean Conflict.
Sandy is survived by her son James (Carrie) Baker, her grandchildren, Juliana and Joshua Baker, a brother Arthur “Butch” (Marion) Bourdeau, several nieces and nephews.
At Sandy’s request there will be no calling hours.
A graveside service will be held at St. Peter’s Cemetery on May 10, 2019 at 11:30 a.m.
Donations in her memory may be made to Fitzpatrick Cancer Center, St. Jude’s Shrine or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
