Plattsburgh Sarah M. Alexander, 90, of Riverside Avenue, Plattsburgh, New York, passed away on Tuesday July 23, 2013 at her home with her family by her side under the care of Hospice of the North Country. She was born in Plattsburgh on May 2, 1923 the daughter of William and Aurora (Damour) Garrow. Sarah was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church in Plattsburgh. She enjoyed music, playing piano, bingo, trips to the casino, crafts, but most of all spending time and cooking for her family around the holidays. Sarah was predeceased by her husbands; Napolen Garrant and Edward Alexander, two sisters, Beatrice Riley and Mary Johanson, three brother's John, Edward and Earl Garrow, a daughter in law Gloria Garrant and a son in law Louis Therrien. She is survived by 12 children and their spouses; Gary Alexander of PA, Edward (Sandra) Garrant of Beekmantown, James Garrant of PQ, Randall Garrant and his companion Kathy Stoneman of Plattsburgh, Terry (Shannon) Alexander of Plattsburgh, Scott Alexander and his companion Mary Campbell of Plattsburgh, Carol (Donald) Perry of Schuyler Falls, Angela (Alan) Mackowski of Plattsburgh, Debra Therrien of Morrisonville, Robin (Gary) Pageau of Plattsburgh, Kim Alexander of Plattsburgh and Heidi Alexander of Plattsburgh, 20 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive her. At Sarah's request there will be no public calling hours, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday July 25, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church in Plattsburgh, inurnment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh.
