Sharron M Rock

Sharron M. Rock 42 of the Pellerin Road, Plattsburgh, passed away November 16, 2017 at home. She was born in Plattsburgh, NY on April 2, 1975, the daughter of David and Susan (Durocher) Gubbins. Sharron married James "Jim" Rock on July 31, 1999 at St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy and they have four smart, beautiful daughters together. Sharron dedicated her life to her family - and her family's love for her showed in their dedication to her as well. She was deeply involved in her daughters' education and extracurricular activities. An amazing mom whom everyone admired, Sharron laughed and cried with her girls, taught them how to be incredible young women, and gave them experiences that every child deserves to have. Sharron especially enjoyed attending her daughters' sporting events. Known for her sharp mind, her open heart, and her fierce sense of humor (if you've met Sharron, you know she took fun seriously), she was someone that everyone wanted to be around. She exemplified love, courage, bravery, and gratitude in a way that brought new perspective to what most of us thought we knew about those things. After graduating from Watertown High School, Watertown, South Dakota, Sharron earned a Bachelor's Degree from SUNY Plattsburgh. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, West Chazy. She is survived by her dedicated and loving husband, Jim Rock; four daughters: Abby, Katie, Hannah and Charlotte Rock; her parents, a brother, Dan Gubbins and his wife Charlana, of Polk City, Iowa; two nieces, Annie and Julia Gubbins and nephew Connor Gubbins; her grandmothers, Lorna Gubbins and Charlotte Kays; and her faithful canine companion, Gracie. Many close friends and relatives also survive her and will forever remember her with love. Calling hours will be Monday, November 20, 2017 from 4:00-7:00pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph's Church, West Chazy, NY.
