Sherman W Luck

Sherman W. Luck, 84, of Broad Street in Plattsburgh, passed away Wednesday June 7, 2023. He was born in Plattsburgh on October 1, 1938 the son of Virgil and Elizabeth (Parker) Luck.

Sherman was an Electric Lineman for the City of Plattsburgh Municipal Lighting Department. He was an active parishioner of St. John's Church, an altar server, a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council 255 and a life member of Elks Club 621. Sherman will be remembered around the holidays for his spectacular display of Christmas decorations including Santa Claus going up and down his chimney on the corner of Broad and Sanborn Avenue.

He is survived by his children and their spouses; Debbie Luck Brault and her husband David of Essex, VT and Laurie Luck and her husband Brian Curtin of Billerica, MA, his grandchildren; Nichole Kivlehan and her husband Kieran, Cherie Brault, Alexandra Luck Curtin and Anna Luck Curtin, his great grandchildren; Kalyn and Alayna Kivlehan, a sister, Candis Luck and a brother, Gerald Luck, and his sister-in-law, Ellen Fleming and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Jackie, his twin sister Sharon St. Germain and her husband Carl, a brother-in-law, Thomas Fleming and a sister-in-law Virginia Luck.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday June 11, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11:30 am at St. John's Church. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Seton Catholic.
