Simone B Marcotte

Simone B. Marcotte, 94, of Columbia, SC passed away, Wednesday, March 17, 2021. She was born in Grand St. Esprit Nicolet, PQ Canada, on October 5, 1926 the daughter of Mederic and Juliette (Rene) Marcotte Bio, hobbies, interest, memberships. Simone loved the Lord and everyone, was a helper to all who needed her help. She was an active participant with her church family, St. Peters. Simone was an avid adventurer, she loved to travel, went on several mission trips, and loved to participate in sports, especially winter sports. She enjoyed card and board games. She learned to swim in her mid 50’s. Simone loved flowers and gardening, starting the corner garden across from St. Peters. She was active in Gold Star Mothers to support the military. She loved to read and write. Simone loved to dance as her and dad often did square dancing. She also loved hokie pokie with the grandkids. Simone loved her family and friends and was sweetly involved in each of their lives. Simone went back 11 generations to do the Marcotte family genealogy, starting in 1670. She is survived by two brothers, Julienne Marcotte and Nobert Marcotte and sisters, Janet, Mariette and Fernan. She is also survived by one son, Christian P. Marcotte, daughter in law, Sandra K. Marcotte, grandchildren, Jennifer Morris, great son in law, Michael Graham, Robert Marcotte and Phillip Marcotte, great daughter in law, Tracy Marcotte, great grandchildren, Douglas Morris, Rebecca Morris, Cloe Marcotte, Bruce Marcotte, Jacob Marcotte and Kaitlyn Marcotte and great, great grandchildren, Aliyah Morris and Allison Morris. She is also survived by several great nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by Antoine J. Marcotte, her husband. Also, brothers and sisters, parents and grandparents. There will be no public calling hours or services. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Plattsburgh. In lieu of flowers, please support your local Right to Life Organization, in memory of Simone B. Marcotte.
