Stanislaw L Kornecki

April 26, 1958 — May 6, 2019

Stanislaw Leslaw “Stan” Kornecki, age 61, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2019 at the Clinton
County Nursing Home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Stamford, CT, on April 26, 1958, the son of Stanislaw and Otylia (Respondowska) Kornecki.
Stan loved life and shared his joy through his wonderful sense of humor, eclectic taste in music,
passion for cooking, and his love of the Adirondacks and hiking. In his younger days, he could often be found with his parents and brothers hiking the mountains of New England. He is a member of the Adirondack 46ers, completed the Northeast 111, and was a proud Eagle Scout. Stan always did things big: he is fondly remembered for trying to beat the Guiness Book of World Records’ tallest snowman, flooding the St. Matthew’s Church parking lot to make an ice
rink for his kids, and using too much of Emeril Lagasse’s seasoning (BAM!). He loved playing,
coaching, and watching hockey- his enthusiasm for the sport was contagious and is shared by his entire family, though team allegiances remain varied. His home and car were always filled with music (including but not limited to): Frank Zappa, Muddy Waters, and Dr. Demento. Stan was devoted to his faith, studying to be a deacon and leading youth in the church. Stan took tremendous pride in his work and used it as an opportunity to be a leader in his community and to help others. He was devoted to volunteering with his church and the Knights of Columbus. He was a loving father to his three children, always proud of them, and always encouraging them to think outside of the box.
He is predeceased by his brother, Leslaw, his father, Stanislaw, his grandmother, Janina, and his
aunt, Margaret. He is survived by his loving wife Joan Waronecki Kornecki, his children, Katrina Seastrunk (Will) of Summerville, SC, Dr. Krystyna Kornecki of Troy, NY, and Stanislaw Kornecki of Rouses Point, NY, his mother, Otylia of Keeseville, NY, Sr. Mary Jacinta of Reading, PA, brother Zbigniew (Maureen) of Philadelphia, nieces and nephews, Michael, Elizabeth, Samantha, and Jennifer.
A private memorial for his immediate family will be held Saturday. We invite all those who loved
Stan to his celebration of life on Labor Day weekend (August 30 - September 2, 2019). Details to
follow.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street, Plattsburgh, NY 12901. (518) 561-3980. Online condolences may be offered at www.brownfuneralhomeinc.com
