Stella M Lashway

Plattsburgh Stella M. Lashway, 92, of Russell Barnard Apartments, in Plattsburgh, NY passed away on Friday April 29, 2011 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Forest, NY on April 14, 1919 the daughter of Edward and Sarah (Bosley) LaBarge. She graduated from Ellenburg High School in 1937. Stella worked at Diamond National and later at Georgia Pacific in Plattsburgh where she retired from as a Machine Operator. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 125 in Plattsburgh and Our Lady of Victory Church in Plattsburgh. Stella was a very loving and caring person and touched many people's lives. She was predeceased by her husband Frank Lashway, a son Francis Lashway and several siblings. Stella is survived by two; daughter Marie Boulrice and her husband Vernon of Altona and Cathy Tyler of Plattsburgh, twelve grandchildren; Susan Tyler, Lisa (Scott) Sartwell, Chad (Amy) Boulrice, James Tyler, John Tyler, Tim (Becky) Tyler Debra (Bruce) Crowningshield, Dennis Lashway, Sarah (Bernard) LeClair, Laurie Lashway, Brian (Susan) Lashway and Jamie (Tammy)Lashway, eighteen great grandchildren, a brother Donald LaBarge and his wife Mary of FL, two sisters; Irma Peacock and her husband Robert of West Chazy and Geraldine Maher of TX, several nieces and nephews also survive her. Calling hours will be held on Thursday May 5, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Altona. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 at Holy Angels Church in Altona, burial will be in Holy Angels Cemetery. Donations in Stella's memory may be made to Our Lady of Victory Church in Plattsburgh.
