Stella L Manor

Altona Stella L. Manor, 91, of Prospect Avenue, Plattsburgh, NY and formally of Miner Farm Road, Altona, NY passed away on Saturday March 6, 2010 at Meadowbrook Healthcare in Plattsburgh. She was born in Altona, NY on November 11, 1918 the daughter of Louis and Mary (Mitchell) Barnaby. Stella worked as a machine operator at Aranac Ribbon Company in Plattsburgh. She enjoyed playing BINGO, caring for her beloved dog Cocoa and was a member of Holy Angels Church in Altona. Stella was known for her excellent cooking and for being a wonderful and loving mother, wife and grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband Harley Manor, her parents, three sisters; Evelyn Ladue, Flossie LaBarge and Elsie Rose and four brothers; Eugene Barnaby, Louis Barnaby, Harvey Barnaby and Clarence Barnaby. Stella is survived a son, Armand "Lefty" Manor and his wife Liz of Plattsburgh, two sisters; Bertha Rabideau and Theresa Hansbury, three grandchildren; Lonny Manor and his wife Pam of Chateugay, NY. Vikki Laidman and her husband Stuart of Cumberland Head and Jay Manor and his wife Kim of Beekmantown, two great-grandchildren; Alexis and Taylor Manor and a step grandson Holden Laidman and his wife Michelle of Cumberland, a step great grandson Nolan Michael Laidman, several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive her. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday March 10, 2010 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Altona, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday March 11, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Angels Church in Altona.
