Stockton Phillip Pike, born February 3, 1989, of Plattsburgh, New York, passed away Monday, February 17, 2014. He is survived by his parents, Jane and Daniel Pike, and his sister Marne Pike. Stockton was an intrinsically empathic, compassionate human being, loyal friend, son and brother. In high school, he was a leader, captain of both the Plattsburgh High School varsity soccer and swim teams, voted Black Letter recipient twice by his teammates, and held several student-leadership roles. After graduating from Plattsburgh High School in 2007, Stockton went on to Loyola University in Baltimore, Maryland and then to SUNY Plattsburgh to study accounting. A lover of the outdoors, Stockton was an avid skier, enjoyed hiking and snowshoeing in the woods with his dear friend Haley and his dog Miya. He was a light-hearted, goofy, caring person. Even when Stockton was not looking out for himself, he never ceased looking out for others. Although he struggled the past few years, we will forever remember him as the smiling, out-going, enthusiastic person that he was at heart, and will cherish the last seven months we had the true Stockton back. He spent this prized time on the mountains, with loving friends and support system, looking towards the future, enjoying life to its fullest, and helping those around him do the same. Stockton and the entire Pike family are greatly appreciative for the love and tremendous support received from the local recovery community over the past few years. The Pike's will be receiving guests on Saturday, February 22, 2014 between the hours of 2 and 4pm at the Elks Club in Plattsburgh, New York, to remember and celebrate Stockton's life.
