Susan J Daniels

Susan J. Daniels, 75, of Plattsburgh, NY passed away on Saturday, May 11th, 2019 at Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility with her beloved children by her side. She was born in Ticonderoga, NY on April 29th, 1944, the daughter of Joseph and Alberta (McCauley) Reil.

Susan was predeceased by her son, Kevin Barber. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Daniels, son, Jay Barber, daughters, Kimberly Schneider, Shelly Rascoe, Shantel Liberty and their husbands. She was also the proud grandmother to Austin, Emily, Olivia, Joshua, Alyson, Zachary, Jeremiah, Nicholas and Abigail.

Susan spent her whole life as a caretaker in her multiple roles of mother, grandmother and home health care aid. She built her life on the foundation of home, instilling family values and an open-door policy to all. She remained resilient her whole life, providing safety and security for her family, even during hard times. The most important thing to her was a house full of laughter and building memories with her family, the fondest being Sunday spaghetti dinners, long summers on the front porch and heart stopping practical jokes. Spending holidays together was a priority of hers, crafting unforgettable Christmas mornings and acre wide Easter egg hunts her grandchildren will cherish for a life time.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 15th, 2019 from 11:00 – 12:00 pm at Brown’s Funeral Home with a prayer service to follow at 12:00 pm. She will be laid to rest next to her son at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
