Susan K Nelson

Susan K. Nelson, 70 of Anderson Road in Beekmantown, passed away Friday, April 08, 2022 at the UVM Health Network- CVPH with family by her side.

She was born in Plattsburgh on January 4, 1952, the daughter of the late Richard and Mildred (Lyman) Thompson.

Susan retired from the Comfort Inn as manager after 20 years and enjoyed gardening, reading, and spending time with friends and her grandchildren. She was a proud member of the Golden Girls Ladies Group.

She is survived by her son Donald Dutko of Beekmantown, a daughter and son in law; Beth and Howard Frenyea of Cadyville, a brother in law; Frank Ryan of Port Charlotte, FL. a sister in law; Elaine Thompson of Dannemora, 4 grandchildren; Amanda, Howie, Derek, and Jacob, 4 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, her first husband Donald Dutko, her second husband William Nelson, 2 sons; Paul Dutko and Roger Dutko and her siblings; Richard Thompson, Carol Dewey, Sandy Ryan, and Scott Thompson.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm in the Brown Funeral Home, Chapel.
Interment will be in Saranac Independence Cemetery at a later date . Memorial donations may be made to the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center.
