Susan A Sylvester

Susan A. Sylvester, 66, of Nichols Road, West Chazy, NY, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at UVHN:CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Plattsburgh on May 1, 1957 the daughter of William and Margaret (Duell) LaPorte.

Susan graduated from Plattsburgh High School in 1975, furthering her education at Clinton Community College, graduating in 2004. She spent 30 years working in factories.
She enjoyed spending time with family, going fishing with her nieces and nephews and collecting antiques. She loved the show “I love Lucy” and classic cars. She was an avid bowler when she was younger.

Susan is survived by, her brother, William LaPorte and his wife, Cathy, sister, Debra Heller, brother Thomas LaPorte and his wife, Catherine. She is also survived by many nieces and nephew, aunts and uncles, cousins, her beloved dog, Sadie, and cat, Zoe.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Carl Sylvester, son Ryan, nieces, Carrie and Tracy and nephew Scott LaPorte. She is also predeceased by her dog, Abby.

Services will be held at a later date.
