Plattsburgh Thelma M. Curry, 85, of Beekman Street, Plattsburgh, NY and formerly of Pear Street, Plattsburgh, passed away on Thursday October 21, 2010 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Plattsburgh, NY on May 27, 1925 the daughter of Eugene and Marjorie (Sweatt) Provost. Thelma was member of the "Gold Star Mothers." She was an avid BINGO Player, Yankee Baseball fan, Stock Car Race fan and could always be seen at Airborne Speedway, cheering on her favorite driver Bucko, with her grandchildren Brian "Buddy" and Billie Jo Branham. She was predeceased by her husband Timothy Curry, Sr., who passed away in 1984, four children; Timothy Curry, Jr., USMC, Wayne Thomas Curry, USMC, Wanda Curry and Bobbi Curry, a brother, Thurland Provost and a sister Evelyn Cutting. Thelma is survived by, two daughters; Elizabeth Malone-Curry, MA and Tammy Branham and her husband Bucko of Plattsburgh and a son William Curry and his wife Sylvia of NV, a brother Richard "Dickie" Provost and his wife Patsy of FL, two sisters; Jane Lobdell and her husband Spencer of Willsboro and Phyllis Piikkila of Plattsburgh, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive her. Calling hours will be held on Sunday October 24, 2010 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh, a funeral service will follow at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Thelma memory maybe made to the Foundation of CVPH Medical Center.
