Plattsburgh, New York Theresa Carmen Bolin, 82, of Lake Shore Drive (Cliff Haven) in Plattsburgh, passed away Thursday July 27, 2017 at UVHN:CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Queens, NY on July 16, 1935 at St. Joseph's Hospital the daughter of the late Emmanuel and Annunciata Busuttil 1920's Ellis Island immigrants of Maltese decent. Theresa grew up in New York City in both Astoria & Flushing graduating from P.S. 122 high school in early 50's. She met the love of her life Raymond Thomas Bolin in the the early 50's when he was visiting home from his Air Force deployment to Korea and Japan. They kept in touch throughout the 50's and married in 1960 and remained married until Raymond's death in 1995. With her marriage to Ray she lived in many places including Bangor Maine, Key West Florida, Camp Springs Maryland, Ramstien Air Force Base - Rheinland-Pfalz Germany, and Plattsburgh New York. She worked at Agway Petroleum for 20+ years retiring in the late 90's. She then spent her time being a grandma, traveling, and volunteering at CVPH Medical Center (15 years), Hospice of the North Country, Interfaith Food Shelf, and St. Peter's Church. She loved playing Penny Poker with her Senior Center gang (she was pretty competitive), doing large complex puzzles, crossword puzzles, and playing solitaire. Traveling was a passion and she went to many places with her bus tours group over the years. During her years in Germany 1969-1973 she and her family traveled to Austria, France, and across Germany. Her favorite places were Bavaria and Berchtesgaden in Germany. Above all she was a dedicated wife, mother and grandma. She was funny, caring and sweet to everyone who met her. She could be tough when needed, but most of the time she was just easy to be around and will be missed by all. She grew up the baby of a large family of 6 kids. She was proceeded in death by her parents, her sisters Mary Busuttil and Sylvia Harman, and her brother Vincent Busuttil. She is survived by her sister Dorothy (Fred) (Lenord) of New Jersey, and brother John Busuttil of Arizona. She is also survived by her son Kenneth Bolin of Chicago and her grandchildren Bradford & Brooke Bolin and their mother Pamela Bolin-Mauro, and Cynthia (Jim) McCarty of Plattsburgh and her granddaughter Megan McCarty. Calling hours will be held on Sunday July 30, 2017 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 31,2017 at 10:00 am at St. Peter's Church. Interment will be follow in St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh.
