Theresa Dugan

Theresa Dugan, 86, of Plattsburgh, New York, passed away on July 14, 2018 in her home under the care of Hospice. Theresa was born in Ellenburg, on January 12, 1932, the daughter of the late Lee and Laura (Broderick) LaBarge. Theresa was a member of Saint Peter's Church. She attended Fairfield University Graduate School of Education, taught at Upper Nyack Elementary School and was an active member of the Nyack New York Teacher's Association. Theresa enjoyed spending time with her family at the cabin and working with her husband, Jim at their Adirondack Pine Furniture Company in Mooers Forks as well as the Plattsburgh Farmers Market. She was an avid golfer for many years and also enjoyed vacationing in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She was predeceased by her parents, her brothers, Bernard LaBarge and Francis LaBarge (who died in World War II), and her sisters, Rita Washburn, Margaret Varno and Veronica Newton. She is survived by her husband James Dugan, brother Kenneth LaBarge and her children, Susan, Michael and Patrick Dugan; her grandchildren Elizabeth, Michael and John Dugan, and Kara Timken. Theresa's family wishes to express its sincere gratitude to Nancy Taylor Homecare and her team for the compassionate care provided and Hospice of the North Country. A Christian Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am, at St. Peter's Church, burial will be held at St. Ann's Cemetery, Mooers Forks, NY.
