Theresa M Fortin

Theresa M. Fortin, 85, of The Arbors in Shelburne, VT, and formerly of Sunrise Drive in Plattsburgh, passed away on Thursday November 20, 2014, at her home in Shelburne. She was born in Plattsburgh, NY on June 5, 1929 the daughter of Cashmere and Janet (Prince) Brodrick. Theresa married William R. Fortin in 1945 in Burlington, VT., they moved to Plattsburgh in 1958. She enjoyed bowling, golfing,was a member of the Ladies Elks, and was a member of St. Peter's Church. Theresa greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren who loved her and will forever miss her. Theresa was predeceased by her husband, a son Thomas Fortin, and son-in-law David D. Hart. She is survived by her children; Cheryl Hart of Colchester, VT and Raymond Fortin of Plattsburgh, her grandchildren; Heather Rypien and her husband Andy, Kathy O'Farrell, Kellie Bushey and Mistie Martin. Devlin Fortin and Liette Fortin. John Fortin, Denise Fortin, and Eric Fortin, a sister-in-law Geraldine Seymour, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday November 24, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh, entombment will follow at Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens in Plattsburgh.
