Theresa M Jensen

Theresa M. Jensen, 91, of Plattsburgh, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020 at her home. She was born in Plattsburgh, on January 21, 1929, the daughter of George and Mary (Parrotte) Brunelle.
She taught Home Economics for 25 years at Plattsburgh Junior High School. She organized the Press Republican Recipe Contest for many years. She volunteered much of her time in her community as part of the Plattsburgh Zoning Board. She was a member of the Teacher’s Association and the President of the Mother’s Club. In her free time she enjoyed sewing, embroidery work, reading and most recently completing jig-saw puzzles. She cherished above all the time she spent with her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Robert Brunelle, and her grandson Matthew Jensen.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Arnold Jensen, their children; Michael Jensen and his wife Elizabeth, Sharon Sindo and her husband Peter, Susan Polhemus and her husband Kirk, her grandchildren; Jenifer, Megan, Amy, Nick, Sarah, Mary, and Ben, her sister Janet Brunelle Kisler, and her nephews Robert and Gary Brunelle.
Calling hours will be Thursday, March 12, 2020 from 5:00-7:00pm at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, March 13, 2020 at 10:00am at St. Peter’s Church. Burial will be at a later date in the parish cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made the American Heart Association, Alzheimer’s Association, or Mass to be said in her name.
