Theresa L Lucia

Theresa L. Lucia (Duprey), 74, formerly of Plattsburgh, passed away August 29, 2021 at the hospital in Gainsville, FL. She was born in Plattsburgh on August 21, 1947, the daughter of David and Alice (Relation) Duprey.

Theresa worked 27 years at the Department of Social Services. She volunteered at St. Vincent DePaul Church. She was also an active member and treasurer for the American Legion in Interlachen, FL. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Florida. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to bingo, gardening, and knitting/crocheting.

She was predeceased by her father and mother, David and Alice (Relation) Duprey, her husband, Allen J. Lucia, her sister, Joyce (Duprey) Stone, her sister-in-law, Lori Annis, and her son-in-law, Duane Venable.

She is survived by her children, Stephen Lucia and companion Cynthia Vallieres of Dannemora, Jennifer (Lucia) Venable of Interlachen, FL, her siblings, Brad and Jeannie Duprey of Chazy, Janet (Duprey) and Donald Miner of Beekmantown, Gary and Dorisann Duprey of Beekmantown, Ronald and Betty Duprey of Beekmantown, James Duprey of Plattsburgh and Lawrence and Julie Duprey, formerly of Dannemora, 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Saturday September 10, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Chazy with the Rev. William G. Reamer, officiating.
