Thomas E. Adams, 77, of Plattsburgh, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, December 15, 2024 at the UVM Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born in 1947, the son of Edward L. and Ruth Adams. Tommy graduated from Mount Assumption Institute (MAI) and went on to serve as a member of the Army National Guard from 1967-1972. Tommy enjoyed professional football and horseracing and could be found from time to time at the local Off Track Betting or in the middle of the action at the Saratoga racetrack. Whenever you would run into him around town he could usually be found wearing his favorite Adams Glass T-shirt and a comfortable pair of jeans. He had over two decades working with the family business as a professional picture framer. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Cathy; son and daughter-in-law, Edward T. and Sarah Adams; his grandson, Daniel A. Adams; one sister and her husband, Beverly (Adams) and Peter Harrigan; brother and his wife, BJ and Kelly Adams; sisters-in-law and husbands Carol and Bruce Borner, Diane and Kevin Rock, Gail and Bill Roushia, Karen and Creston Billings; brother-in-law and wife Rollie and Yong McGee; sister-in-law Bonnie Katz; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his mother, Ruth M. Adams and his father, Edward L. Adams; brother, Daniel L. Adams; father-in-law Charles McGee and mother-in-law Marjorie McGee; brothers-in-law Charles McGee, Gary McGee and Al McGee.
