Thomas N. Bates

Thomas N. "Tucker" Bates , 80 , of Plattsburgh , passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at the UVM Health Network-CVPH.  He was born Friday, August 13, 1943 , the son of Truman and Beatrice (Terry) Bates.

Tom married Nancy Daniels on July 8, 1967. Tom worked at Imperial Mill until his retirement.  He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, birds, going for rides, and gardening.

He is survived by his son Scott Bates and his wife Renay of West Chazy, daughters, Terri Meyers of Plattsburgh, Tina Bates and her companion Jeffrey Tyrell of Plattsburgh, 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren.

He is predeceased by his parents, his wife, Nancy, brothers Terry and Stephen Bates, and his sister Winifred Darrah.

Per Tucker's request, there will be no calling hours or services.
Memorial donations may be to the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center at UVM-CVPH Medical Center.
