Thomas Nelson “Tom” Caron, 68 of Plattsburgh passed away unexpectedly Thursday, April 29, 2021 at his home. He was born in Plattsburgh on April 30, 1952 the son of Wilfred and Dorothy (Streed) Caron.
Tom proudly served his country in the U. S. Army Reserves. He was a second generation owner of Caron Electric Motors. He took pride in his business and loved the friendships he made throughout his over fifty years in business. Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, golf and riding his Harley. He was a member of the American Legion Post 1619, Plattsburgh Moose Lodge and the Mink Brook Hunting Club.
Tom was predeceased by his parents and a sister Joanne Clark.
He is survived by his loving wife Alexandra Sandy (Bleaux) Caron who Tom called “One Lucky Lady,” his children; Thomas (Casey) Caron, Christina (Jay) Stone; Jodi Forgette and her wife Tiffany DeGilormo, Shannon (Michael) Bessette, his sisters Elaine Caron Conway, Lorraine Caron Young, his grandchildren; Jocelyn, Adalyn Bessette, Andrea, Leah Caron, Jay Stone, Jr. and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Monday, May 3, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Elmore SPCA or law enforcement support charity Signal 30 Benefit Fund.
