Thomas C "Tom" Fleming

Cumberland Head Mr. Thomas C. "Tom" Fleming, 77, of Algonquin Park Road, Cumberland Head passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 2, 2017 at the UVMCH/CVPH Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh, NY on March 27, 1939 the son of Clifford and Esther (LaBarge) Fleming. Tom was a Union Electrician and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local #781 and Local #910. He worked on numerous job sites throughout the North Country. Tom enjoyed watching western movies, hunting, sail boating, working on many family projects and spending time with family and friends. Tom was a Life Member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Plattsburgh Lodge #621 and he was a member of St. John's Church. He was predeceased by a grandson Matthew Brault, his son-in-law Arthur "Art" Brault, his brother-in-law James Michael Gray. Tom is survived by his wife of fifty five years Ellen (Gray) Fleming of Cumberland Head, a daughter Donna Brault of Cumberland Head, a son James "Jim" Fleming and his wife Angela of Cumberland Head, his sisters Jacqueline Luck and her husband Sherman of Plattsburgh, his grandchildren; Christopher Brault of Cumberland Head, Andrew "A.J." Brault of Plattsburgh and his companion Elizabeth Compeau of Colchester, VT, Jenna Brault and her companion Jordan Calandros of Plattsburgh, Joshua Fleming, Dereck Fleming and his companion Ciara Nussbickel and Jessica Fleming and a great granddaughter Aria all of Plattsburgh, several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive him. Calling hours will be on Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St, Plattsburgh, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. at St. John's Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom's memory may be made to the Cumberland Head Fire Department.
