Thomas O Graves

Plattsburgh Mr. Thomas O. Graves, 65, of Glen Drive, Plattsburgh, NY passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014 at the CVPH Medical Center with family by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh, NY on April 10, 1949 the son of Arthur N. and Hortense (O'Mara) Graves. He was a graduate of St. John's Academy, Class of 1967. Tom received his Bachelor's Degree in Education from SUNY Fredonia, his Master's Degree in Education from Plattsburgh State University, Certificate of Administrative Science from Plattsburgh. He was a member of Phi Delta Kappa Fraternity Tom retired as a Principal at Northeastern Clinton Central School. He served as President of the Northeastern Clinton Central Supervisory and Administrative Council and on the board of Directors for the Clinton County ARC. Tom coached sports for the Town of Plattsburgh and enjoyed sports, reading tennis and traveling. He was a member of St. John's Church. Tom is predeceased by his parents Arthur and Hortense Graves and a brother-in-law Ross Martin. He is survived by his son Thomas O'Mara Graves and his girlfriend Tania Patone of Plattsburgh, two sisters Rosemary Martin of Plattsburgh, Kathy Gallagher and her husband Howard of Fairfax, VT, two brothers; Arthur Graves and his wife Sara of Peru, David K. Graves and his wife Deborah of Morrisonville, several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Church. Interment will follow in the family plot at St. Peter's Cemetery.
