Thomas P Makara

Thomas P. Makara, 70, of Plattsburgh, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at his residence. He was born on February 1st, 1954, the son of Joseph Makara and Eileen (Light) Makara. Tom graduated from Mount Assumption in Plattsburgh, Canton ATC and Plattsburgh State University with a bachelors degree in Chemistry. Tom spent most of his career at Ayerst Labs in Rouses Point, also having worked as a Lab Technician at CVPH. He is survived by his brother, Joseph Makara, niece and nephew, Mark and Michelle Makara, stepsisters, Linda, Nancy and Kathy and many cousins. He is predeceased by his parents, brother, Roswell Makara, sister, Marie Makara and stepmother, Anna M. Makara, There will be no services. Arrangements are entrusted to Brown Funeral Home.
