Timmy A Dumont

Timmy Dumont, 69, of Schuyler Falls, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on June 29, 2022, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, following a short illness.

Tim was born in Plattsburgh on May 20, 1953, the son of Calista (Fountain) and Roland Dumont. Tim is survived by his brothers Wayne (Sheila) Dumont, Lynn Dumont, Dale Dumont, his sister-in-law Betty Ann Dumont, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Terry Dumont and his sister-in-law Margaret “Peggy” Dumont.

Tim was a beloved member of the family, and always looked forward to the next holiday, family picnic and gathering at the camp. He found joy in eating a home cooked meal, listening to Johnny Cash, watching the Jerry Lewis telethon and spending time with his family. Tim was the youngest of five brothers, devotedly cared for and loved by his parents.

Since 1991, Tim lived in a local ARC home. Most of his years were spent at Turner Road residence in Schuyler Falls. He participated in daily activities and group field trips through PATH. Throughout his time with ARC, Tim made many friends and connected with numerous staff members who were drawn to his sense of humor, sharp wit and affinities for simple pleasures.

Tim’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to ARC and all their staff – both past and present – for their enduring care, respect, kindness and friendship.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations in Tim’s name to Clinton County NY ARC, Attn: Membership Fund.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022 from 9:00 am-11:00 am at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel.
