Victor A. LaClair, Sr., 80, of Hammond Lane, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021 at his home. He was born in Churubusco on August 16, 1940, the son of the late Louis and Mary Rose (Miner) LeClair.
Victor was employed as a labor foreman for Murnane Associates for over 38 years and was a member of the Laborers Union 186. He enjoyed driving his tractor, hunting, and travelling with his wife Gloria in their RV.
He is survived by his children and their spouses; Victoria and Mark Bedard of Beekmantown, Ricky and Kathy LaClair of Mooers Forks, Victor LaClair and companion Tammy Howerton of Harkness, Candace LaClair and companion Eric Hathaway of West Chazy, his siblings and their spouses; Teddy and Anita LeClair of Central Square, NY., Charlie LeClair of Plattsburgh, Janet and Vern Sawyer of Canton, Frank and Barb LeClair of Cadyville, , his grandchildren; Deanna LaClair, Cassie Defayette, Cole LaClair, Tyler LaClair, Cheyenne LaClair, and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Gloria LaClair in 2009. His brothers Marshall LaClair, Joe LeClair and Johnny LeClair and a sister Clara Trombley also passed away earlier.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 22, 2021 from 11:00 am to 12:45 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. Face masks are required. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 22, 2021 at 1:00 pm at St. Peter’s Church. Entombment will be at the Plattsburgh Community Mausoleum. Memorial donations may be offered to the Hope House in Burlington, Vermont..
