Vincent R. Marino, 87, of Flynn Avenue, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at his home. He was born in Bronx, New York on July 2, 1933, the son of the late James and Irene (Middlemiss) Marino.
Vincent grew up in Mount Vernon, NY and was a professional jazz drummer and performed with Frank Sinatra, Buddy Rich and Mel Torme. He later worked for the Saranac Central School System for several years. He loved baseball and was an avid Red Sox fan.
He is survived by his companion’s children; Michele Danville, Bruce W. Danville, his son Jimmy R. Marino, his grandchildren; Austin Danville, Kelsey Danville, and his great grandson “Little Vincent”.
He was predeceased by his parents, and his longtime companion Brenda Danville.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2020 from 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 24, 2020 at 11:00 am at St. Alexander’s Church in Morrisonville. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be offered to the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center. The family wishes to thank Dr. Duus and his staff especially Nancy and Wendy and the nurses in the Infusion Center.
