Violet L Laporte

Violet L. LaPorte, 80, of Ferris Court, Plattsburgh, NY, passed away on Thursday January 24, 2019 at UVHN:CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Plattsburgh on October 1, 1939 the daughter of John and Hazel (Pinsonneau) Duell.
Violet married Michael LaPorte in 1960.
She enjoyed spending time with family, picnics, fishing, camping and watching NASCAR, especially Kevin Harvick.
Violet is predeceased by his parents, her husband Michael, a sister Mary Baker and a daughter Jane.
She is survived by her children; Steven and Rita LaPorte, Carla LaPorte, Jeffrey and Heidi LaPorte, Mark and Rose LaPorte, Karen Ashline, Brandon McCauslin, Amber LaPorte and a son-in-law Earl Dresser, 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren and one on the way, several siblings and many beloved nephews and nieces.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 28, 2019 from 1:00pm to 2:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in St. Alexander’s Cemetery in Morrisonville at a later date.
