Virginia M Fontane

Mrs. Virginia M. Fontane, 89, of formerly of Johnson Avenue, Plattsburgh, New York passed away Monday, November 17, 2008 at the Evergreen Valley Nursing Home. She was born in Altona, New York on September 29, 1919 the daughter of Francis and Edna (Weightman) Bushery. Virginia graduated from Chazy Central Rural School. She enjoyed flower gardening, traveling and going to Mass at Our Lady of Victory Church where she was a member. Virginia had been a secretary for the Puritan Clothing Store in Plattsburgh. She was predeceased by her parents Francis and Edna Bushery, her husband Tuffield and a son James. Virginia is survived by three brothers-in-law; Herbert Fountain of West Chazy, Horace and Jack Fountain of Plattsburgh, three sisters-in-law Catherine Kowaleski and her husband Stanley of Balston Lake, NY, Joan T. Dignard of Lake Park, Florida, Leonora M. Bushery of Plattsburgh, several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Thursday, November 20, 2008 from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Our Lady of Victory Church with the Rev. Albert Hauser, Pastor presiding. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
