Virginia M Laporte

Virginia “Ginny” M. LaPorte, 64, of Hickory Street, Plattsburgh, NY, passed away on Sunday July 21, 2019. She was born in San Antonio, TX, on September 5. 1954 the daughter of Gerald and Elsie (Carlsson) Mayo.
Ginny worked security at Georgia Pacific in Plattsburgh for many years, was an EMT for Varin’s Ambulance and later Overhead Door Company. Most recently she worked as a Clinical Assistant at CVPH Medical Center. She will be remembered for always working and loved spending time with her grandchildren and her animals.
Ginny was predeceased by her parents.
She is survived by her children; Michael LaPorte, Jr., of Plattsburgh, and Tami LaPorte and her husband Peter Forster of Peru, four grandchildren; Tristan Waltz, Andrew Forster, Joshua Forster and Avah Marie LaPorte, her companion David Drollette of Peru, her siblings; Elizabeth Mayo, Jean Dolan and her husband Robert, an aunt Sharon Morse and uncle Harold Carlson, several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive her.
Calling hours will be held on Friday July 26, 2016 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Champlain, NY.
Memorial donations in Ginny’s memory may be made to the Elmore SPCA or the Foundation of CVPH.
