Plattsburgh Virginia V. Sears, 69, of Alexis Lane, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Black Brook on August 17, 1938, daughter of the late William and Lucille (Miner) Reyell. Virginia was employed at H. L. Greens, stopping work to care for her husband until his death. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed BINGO and slot machines. Virginia is survived by five children, Robert Covel and his wife, Elizabeth of Belleville, Illinois, Gertrude Rinn and her husband, Ronnie of Plattsburgh, Penny Cook and her husband, Edward of Ellenburg Ricky Sears and his fiancé', Eva St. Andrews of Plattsburgh, Scott Sears and his fiancé', Jennifer Akey of Plattsburgh, thirteen grandchildren, Bobbi-Jean Covel, Traci Covel, Christina Haglund, Jason Rinn, Stacey Cook, Angela Cook, Savanah Sears, Dakota Sears, Makayla Sears, Alexander Sears, Abbigael Sears, Maya Sears, Jessica Sears, four great grandchildren, Philip Robert Covel, Justin Covel, Jay Stiger, Jordan Stiger and several nieces and nephews. Virginia was pre-deceased by her husband, Joseph H. Sears, they had been married for thirty nine years, three brothers, Clifford Reyell, Herb Reyell, Elmore Reyell, three sisters, Florence Favreau, Rosamae Rascoe, Genevieve Burnah and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Thursday, March at 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM from Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street, Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 28, 2008 at 2:00 PM from St. Mary's of the Lake Church in Cumberland Head. Burial will follow in St. Mary's of the Lake Cemetery in Cumberland Head. Donations in Virginia's memory may be made to the CVPH Foundation.
