Plattsburgh Mrs. Virginia L. VanNortwick, 66, of Colby Road in Plattsburgh, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at the CVPH Medical center with family by her side. She was born in Plattsburgh on November 6, 1947, the daughter of the late Charles and Gloria (Golden) Collins . Virginia enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls and nic-nacs, going to Hassett Day Services and being around friends and family. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Don VanNortwick, her daughters and a son in law; Christine and Charles Lasalle of Beekmantown, Bernadette Ladue of Keeseville, her sisters and brothers in law; Colleen and Raymond Lasalle of Plattsburgh, Mary Collins and her spouse Art Lasalle of Plattsburgh, Carol and Lawrence Baker of Plattsburgh, Bonnie and Stanley Tomkiewicz of Georgia, 8 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Monday, February 17, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, NY. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery at a later date.
