Wanda B. Lawliss

Wanda B. Lawliss, 93 years old, of Morrisonville, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2024 with her family by her side. She was born in Plattsburgh, NY to Roy and Ida (Keysor) Bellows on February 11th, 1931. She graduated from Plattsburgh High School and worked as a telephone operator for AT&T for 35 years and CVPH Medical Center in Telecommunications for 17 years, retiring at the young age of 74. She was a women of great faith and belonged to the Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed playing poker, pinochle and doing puzzles and was an avid seamstress and loved celebrating holidays with her family, Sunday dinners and baking for all, especially her homemade donuts and banana bread. She is survived by her six children, Jamie (Glenn) Burdo, Andre Lawliss (Penny), Tina (Patrick) Spellman, Ozzie (Sharon) Lawliss , Christine (Tim) Curley and Christopher Lawliss; she is also survived by her 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Oswald "Larry" Lawliss in 2013 and many other loved ones whom she is now reunited with. Memorial donations may be made out to St. Jude's Children Hospital or SPCA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 25, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville. Burial will follow at the Parish Cemetery. The family is forever grateful for all the care and help Wanda received. Your generosity and love was felt by all. Arrangements are entrusted to Brown Funeral Home.
