Wanda M Martin

Wanda M. Martin, 85, of Flynn Avenue, Plattsburgh, NY, passed away on Sunday December 14, 2014 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Plattsburgh on March 13, 1929 the daughter of Edward and Isola (Bourgerie) Martin. Wanda was well known for being a waitress and short order cook at Larios and Gene's Busy Corner and the Altamont. In her later years she enjoyed telling her jokes and visiting with her friends at the mall food court and Russell Barnard Apartments. She was a member of St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. Wanda was predeceased by her parents, a brother; William"Pepper" Martin and his wife Joanne, a sister; Theresa King Gallant and her husband Raymond, a sister-in-law; Betty Martin, her nephews; Richard and Edward Martin and a niece Suellen King Garabdian. She is survived by a brother; Curtice Martin of Titusville, FL, her nieces and their families; Connie Giles of Morrisonville, Judi O'Brien of Plattsburgh, Patti King of Plattsburgh, Nancy Price of LA, Sharon Gade of Rotterdam, Bonnie O'Brien of Burlington, Kim Smith of ME, Dawn Russo of FL and Jamie Whiteman of CT, several great nieces and nephews also survive her including; Tracy Snow and her partner Debbie Ero. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday December 16, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday December 17, 2014 at 10:00 am at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh; burial will be later next year in the parish cemetery.
