Wayne Robert Peete, 56, from Mooers Forks, NY, passed away on November 17, 2021.

Wayne was born at CVPH in Plattsburgh, NY on October 06, 1965. He grew up in Champlain, NY. Wayne graduated from Northeastern Clinton Central School in 1983. He worked at Wyeth/Pfizer for many years before being employed by Suny Plattsburgh as an HVAC Refrigeration Technician. He enjoyed the outdoors life. Wayne had a maple business “Sweet Peete’s” where he worked with the help of his brothers and cousin, Terry Trombley. He loved camping with his family, hunting, gardening, bee-keeping, and skiing. He was often working on all sorts of side projects on his free time. Wayne was always open to lending a helping hand to anyone that needed it. He has made many life time friends throughout his childhood and adulthood. Wayne was also open to learning new things and has received multiple awards and certificates for his hard work. He has greatly impacted many lives and he will be greatly missed by all.

He is survived by his parents Gerald and Barbara Garceau-Peete. Partner of 13 years, Lee Sorensen. Mother of his children, Lori Peete. His daughter, Chelsea Peete and significant other Jeremy LaForest. His son, Justin Peete. His step kids, Cara Sorensen, Siri Sorensen, and Connor Sorensen. His granddaughter, Jaiden Dapo. His brothers, Gerald Peete and companion Tammy Baker, Steve Peete and his companion, Jacqueline Filion, and Jeff Peete. Four nieces, Sarah Boryszewski and husband David Boryszewski, Tiffany Peete, Abbi Peete, and Zina Peete-McChesney and husband Austin McChesney. Two nephews, James Peete and wife Liezlie Peete, and Josh Peete.

He is preceded by his Grandparents, Russell and Isabelle Peete, Henry Garceau and Margaret Castine. Also his brother Richard Allen Peete.

A memorial service will be held at the Rouses Point American Legion Post 912, Saturday December 4th @12 pm.


All are welcome, we just ask that spaces in the parking lot be mostly saved for our older family/friends so they don't have a far walk to the building.
