Plattsburgh Mr. Wendell E. Pearce, 78, of Plattsburgh, passed away, Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Vandling, PA., on March 19, 1930, the son of the late Edward and Lillian Pearce. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict from 1948 to 1952. He was a truck driver for many years and retired from Millbrook. He enjoyed watching football, playing cards, classical music, jazz and crossword puzzles. He is survived by a son and daughter in law- David and Karen Pearce of Maryland, 2 daughters, Marlene Harvey of Maryland, Lisa Pearce of Plattsburgh, three stepchildren, Tom and Donna Harvey of Plattsburgh, Judy Poust of Morrisonville, Susan and Ken Snyder of Cadyville, a brother and sister in law , Russell and Carol Pearce of Huntsville, Alabama, a sister and brother in law- Shirley and Steve Cannon of Endicott, N.Y., 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. His wife, Rosalie Pearce passed away June 17, 1996. His parents, Edward M. and Lillian Pearce and a nephew Gary Cannon of Endicott, N.Y. also passed away earlier. Private calling hours for the family will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2008 from 11 am to 12 noon at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Saturday, November 8, 2008 from the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will be in Whispering Maples Mausoleum , Tom Miller Road in Plattsburgh.
