William R Body Jr

Plattsburgh Mr. William R. Body, Jr., 58, of Delord Street in Plattsburgh, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2010 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on October 2, 1952, the son of William Body, Sr. and Viola (Harris) Lee. William was a graduate of Wingate High School in Brooklyn. He was a New Jersey policeman, and later was employed by Sweet & Low and I.B.M. in Burlington, Vermont. He also later worked for City Taxi. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife: Janice Body of Plainsfield, N.J., his children; Kim Body of Savage, Md., William Body III of Plainsfield, N.J., his longtime companion Cynthia Dargan of Plattsburgh, his grandchildren; Jah-rel and James Body and Jah-kim Dargan, his siblings: Jacqueline and Levi Johnson of Charlotte, N.C., Emma and Eduardo Aribo of Plattsburgh, Anthony Lee of Plattsburgh, his nieces and nephews; Lagina Womack, Rashim Lee, Shante Elleby, Anthony Lee, Katrina Lee, several great nieces and nephews. His parents passed away earlier. A sister Sharon Harris also passed away earlier. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2010 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. Funeral services will follow at 5:00 pm from the Brown Funeral Home chapel. Interment will be in Riverside cemetery in the spring. Memorial donations may be offered to the Toys for Tots program.
