William L. Deloria, residing at the Home of the Good Shepherd in Wilton N.Y., passed away on Sunday December 27, 2020. He was born in Brooklyn N.Y. on November 22, 1931, the son of Francis and Veronica (Neverett) Deloria. He married Shirley Keddy on April 7, 1956 at St. Mary’s Church in Champlain, N.Y. and they remained married 63 years until her passing in 2019. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife and his sister Claire Deloria.
Bill graduated from Mount Assumption Institute in Plattsburgh, Class of 1949 and from Plattsburgh State in 1953. Immediately after graduation, Bill was drafted in to the U.S. Army and served his country as a Cryptologist in Korea. After his discharge from the Army, he worked in the Petroleum Industry and retired as General Sales Manager of Ultramar Petroleum at the corporate offices in New Jersey.
Bill was a lifetime member of The Elks Club and a past officer of The Wild Goose Club in Loon Lake. He enjoyed playing golf and was an avid fan of the NY Yankees, NY Giants, Plattsburgh State Hockey and PHS Hornets Football.
He is survived by two sons, James (Kate) of Saratoga Springs and Michael (Kristen) of Plattsburgh. He leaves behind six grandchildren Peter (Betsy), Andrew (Hilary), Maggie (Tom), Lauren, Hallie and Sara as well as a great-granddaughter Molly.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Donations in his name can be made to Saratoga Catholic Charities, 142 Regent Street, Saratoga Springs N.Y. 12866.
